Senior Care Services

Less than 10% of all elder adults live in nursing homes or other facilities. Most people prefer to stay in their home, i.e. "age in place." Our licensed home care service is designed to provide the support a senior or disabled adult needs to remain in their home. All of our certified nursing assistants and homemaker companions are supervised closely by RN Case Managers to assure quality care.

The time may come when you need to consider moving your parent or family member to a supportive facility, i.e. an assisted living, continuing care, or a nursing care facility. Family Management Services is well versed in the kinds of facilities in the DC Metropolitan area, their capabilities, financial requirements, and suitability for differing types of individuals. Families need not attempt guesswork in finding an appropriate facility. We can provide you with current, pertinent information to empower the right choice.

As a family member in the role of caregiver, you may experience extreme stress. The demands of your own family, coupled with the needs of a parent or loved one can overwhelm. Take time off and refresh yourself! Our Holiday and Respite Care service will enable you to take a vacation, go away for the holidays, or even just take an afternoon per week off. Family Management Services certified nursing assistants or companions can care for your loved one to the extent needed, allowing you to take the "time out" you need. All care providers are supervised by a RN Case Manager, who is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All too often, the financial side of life for elders or disabled adults can fall into disarray. The potential for exploitation or disorganization is great. FMS staff is bonded and insured for client protection. Family Management Services brings order and management to the financial aspects of a senior's life and we lend effective management to a disabled individual's finances.
